About Danish Club of Tucson

The Danish Club of Tucson started in 1973 with a member looking for Danish names in the local phone book. Since that time the Danish Club of Tucson has had a significant and lasting presence in the Tucson area.

The Danish Club of Tucson welcomes members to join in promoting and enjoying Danish culture. The club meets from September through June. Danish club meetings include:

* Open face sandwiches

* Old fashioned Danish Christmas celebration

* Fastelvan

* Sankt Hans or Midsummer Festival

The Danish Club of Tucson participates in Tucson Meet Yourself in downtown Tucson in October and the Nordic Fair at Streams in the Desert church on the first Saturday in December. The Danish Club of Tucson enjoys monthly member meetings, craft meetings, sponsors Danish education through scholarships, and supports New Beginnings for Women & Children.
